Meryl Streep is in negotiations to star in `Great Hope Springs`
The 61-year-old actress is currently in discussions alongside Jeff Bridges to star in the movie, which tells the tale of a couple who have been married for 30 years and decide to go on an intense relationship counselling weekend to decide whether or not to keep their vows to each other or go their separate ways.
The comedy drama movie has been scripted by `Everwood` writer Vanessa Taylor, Comingsoon.com reports.
Among those attached to produce are Jason Blumenthal, Todd Black, Guymon Casady and Steve Tisch.
Despite being nominated for a Best Actress Oscar for her performance in `Julie & Julia` this year, Meryl has little planned work at the moment, although she is rumoured to be starring in drama `The Ice at the Bottom of the World` alongside Annie Kimmelman.
However Jeff, who won the Academy Award for Best Actor this year for his role as Bad Blake in `Crazy Heart`, has a number of films in the pipeline, including animation `Pablo` and sci-fi `Tron: Legacy` - both due for release later this year.
